Independent Recognition of a Strong Safety Culture

The Safe-T-Cert assessment, conducted by CEF (Construction Employers Federation), independently evaluated MDE’s health and safety management systems, policies, procedures, and overall safety performance.

During the closing audit meeting, the auditor commended MDE’s commitment to safety throughout every level of the organisation, noting that:

“MDE has shown an excellent commitment to safety, right through from apprentices to management.”

The auditor further recognised the consistency of this commitment, highlighting the positive safety culture embedded across the business and acknowledging that such a strong level of engagement is not always evident across the industry.

A Decade of Continuous Improvement

Achieving Grade A status for ten consecutive years demonstrates MDE’s sustained focus on maintaining and enhancing health and safety standards. Our approach extends beyond compliance, embracing a culture where risk management, employee wellbeing, and safe working practices are integrated into every aspect of our operations.

Through ongoing investment in training, competency development, safety audits, and operational improvements, MDE continues to strengthen its safety performance while ensuring employees have the tools, knowledge, and support required to work safely and effectively.

Awarded a New Three-Year Certification

As a result of the successful assessment, MDE has been awarded a new three-year Safe-T-Cert certification, providing independent assurance that our health and safety management systems continue to meet the highest industry standards.
